Pelosi and Schumer say Mnuchin's $916b aid plan unacceptable

US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has stated that ''while it is progress that Leader McConnell has signed off on a $916 billion offer based on the bipartisan framework, the President’s proposal, which cuts unemployment insurance by $140 billion compared to the framework, is unacceptable.''

In a joint statement, the Senate Democratic Leader Schumer and Pelosi say that McConnell agreeing with White House's $916 billion covid relief offer is progress, but bipartisan talks are the best hope for a solution.
