UK: Focus on PM May’s Plan B – TDS

Analysts at TD Securities point out that today, UK PM Theresa May announces her "Plan B" for Brexit, following days of talks with MPs from across the House of Commons and will be watched closely by markets.

Key Quotes

“Reports suggest that these talks have not achieved much, and that Theresa May has largely stuck to her "Plan A". Amendments will now be proposed over the coming week or so (including one that attempts to minimise the possibility of a "No Deal" Brexit), and a final vote is due on Tuesday 29 January. It's likely that Theresa May goes for an incremental approach to her Plan B, though there is a risk she make one or two substantive moves (such as moving one of her so-called "red lines").”
