Bullish bets on China Yuan rise to highest since December: Reuters poll

Results of the latest Reuters poll showed on Thursday, investors raised their bullish bets on the Chinese Yuan to the highest levels since December 2016.

Key findings:

The poll was conducted between Tuesday and Wednesday

Reuters polled 12 analysts, traders and fund managers

The poll uses estimates of net long or short positions on a scale of minus 3 to plus 3. A score of plus 3 indicates the market is significantly long U.S. dollars.

Investors were estimated to have lifted their bullish bets on most emerging Asian currencies

Long positions in the Chinese yuan rose to their largest since December, while the Korean won notched up the most bullish bets since May.

Bullish bets on the Thai baht increased to their largest since October 2015

Investors turned bullish on the Taiwan dollar again after being sellers of the currency two weeks ago for the first time since January.
